This multiple award winning portrait series showcases everyday farmers at various markets around the city of Montreal, Canada. Their interaction with people is short and lively, but they hold a special place in their clients hearts by way of their stomach. Eric simply asked them to select their favourite fruit or vegetable, to be photographed with. It was as if he had asked these quirky characters to play favourites with their children.

He quickly realised that the passion and pride these farmers have for what they produce is not unlike what talented photographers go through in creating great imagery. They both get attached to the fruit of their labour in the process.
